Founded in 1951, Eggersmann Group operates as a family-managed network of companies in construction, recycling, and composting technology. The brands sit across distinct specialisms: BACKHUS for windrow turners, TEUTON and FORUS for shredders, TERRA SELECT for screening machines, BRT HARTNER for sorting systems, and BEKON for biogas plants - covering shredding, screening, turning, and biogas production. Materials processed include lightweight packaging waste (LWP), waste wood, and biowaste, with circular-economy goals consistently at the heart of the work. Notable projects include Denmark's largest LWP plant for ReSource Denmark Aps and a waste wood processing facility for Veolia in Lengede, Germany. The KOMPOTEC division runs modern composting and energy plants such as the Nieheim facility.
