Keysight Technologies has released two Ethernet testing platforms designed to verify the future data center networks that demand higher data transmission rates and higher speed as the demand for AI services rises. SERT 1600GE and Ares ONE Plus 1600GE are designed especially for service providers and respective companies that deliver AI devices.
These products claim to help engineers locate the potential difficulties and verify the compatibility and the way the networks operate under real conditions. When AI networks grow, it can lead to the problems of overloads, delays, and communication issues.
SERT 1600GE is aimed at the testing of data center switching equipment and edge routing. Ares ONE Plus 1600GE allows for validation of high-capacity switching and emulation of AI workloads. It can boast eight 1.6 Tbps Ethernet ports being embedded in a single 2U device, which is able to support 12.8 Tbps of the line traffic at the packet of 64 bytes.
Both platforms support high-level networking and routing protocols such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Equal-Cost Multipath (ECMP) technology, Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), SONiC, etc. This guarantees good routing evaluation and network compatibility verification.
The AresONE Plus also supports realistic AI traffic emulation. This includes mixture-of-experts workloads, alongside technologies such as RoCEv2, Priority Flow Control and Explicit Congestion Notification. This helps engineers assess how AI traffic behaves under congestion.
