FactoryTalk Conductor is a new AI-native orchestration platform launched by Rockwell Automation to connect AI agents, software and workflows throughout the industrial automation lifecycle. The platform allows manufacturers to improve their engineering processes, especially in system design, simulation and testing, and maintenance.
Users can engage in engineering activities via FactoryTalk Conductor by simply issuing natural language commands. Then it orchestrates the corresponding AI functionality, software programs and processes required to perform multiple-step tasks. The platform is capable of integrating multiple tools and agents in a single interface, unlike traditional AI copilots that aid in a single task.
On its initial release, FactoryTalk Conductor will be integrated with Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Logix Echo, Emulate3D and FactoryTalk Optix. Rockwell Automation intends to increase the number of products compatible with it, such as FactoryTalk Design Studio, FactoryTalk Historian, Plex and Fiix.
The platform will feature Rockwell Automation-approved AI agents and skills, and customers can develop their own skills specific to internal standards and engineering needs The platform will provide teams with a way to simplify engineering workflows and develop and verify faster, while maintaining reliability that’s crucial in industrial applications, the company said.
