Innovation in the resources industry through sustainable manufacturing is the focus of Runaya, which operates India's first and the world's second zero-waste, zero-discharge aluminium dross processing facility, recovering 40,000 MT of certified green aluminium a year at a carbon footprint of 0.4-0.6 tCO2/MT, among the lowest globally. Founded in 2017, it also produces telecom-grade Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Aramid Reinforced Plastic (ARP) rods for 5G-ready optical-fiber cables, ground-support solutions through its joint venture with Minova, and diversified metal recovery from smelter wastes, leveraging proprietary, patented technologies and emphasizing circular-economy principles, inclusivity (54.6% gender diversity), and environmental responsibility. It has processed more than 14,321 MT of aluminium and recycled 20,000 MT of industrial waste, achieving zero liquid discharge and a 62% reduction in emission intensity in its FRP business, and it aims for 100% renewable energy by FY27 and plans to expand its green-aluminium model globally. Recognized with awards such as the Asian Leadership Award for Work Inclusion & Diversity, Runaya serves aluminium, telecom, mining, and steel customers.
