Armatrix Raises $2.1 Million for Snake-Like Robotic Arms

Bengaluru-based robotics startup Armatrix has raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by pi Ventures, with participation from Inuka Capital, Boundless Ventures, Boost VC, Turbostart, and returning investor gradCapital. The company develops flexible, snake-like robotic arms designed to operate in confined and hazardous industrial spaces.

Founded in 2024 by IIT alumni Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi, and Ayush Ranjan, Armatrix is building hyper-redundant robotic systems that can enter confined spaces where conventional rigid robots and human operators struggle to work safely. The technology targets inspection and maintenance operations in shipbuilding, nuclear, oil and gas, and aviation industries. The platform uses modular, swappable end-effectors enabling a single arm to perform both inspection and operational tasks without changing base hardware. This eliminates the need for multiple specialized systems across a facility’s maintenance requirements. For industrial operators, one platform handles an entire facility’s maintenance needs rather than deploying separate systems for each task type.
