What happened: Allen Control Systems ( ACS ) closed a $200 million Series B round at a $2.2 billion post-money valuation. The Austin-based company builds autonomous precision robotics.
Why it matters: The capital will scale manufacturing and speed deployment of Bullfrog, the company’s autonomous weapon station, for the US and allied militaries, and fund new product lines. Bullfrog combines AI, computer vision, and precision robotics, and works with existing weapons including the M240 machine gun. It executes the full kill chain up to Group 3 unmanned systems.
Industry context: Trend shows rising private investment in lower-cost kinetic responses to drone threats. Bullfrog is positioned to upgrade legacy and modern weapons platforms.
Our take: Counter-drone systems built around existing munitions is pitched to be a cheaper approach than missile interceptors and is attracting large private investments.
