Swiss deep-tech startup Jaipur Robotics has secured €4.3 million in seed funding as it looks to expand its AI-powered technology from waste monitoring into broader automation for waste-to-energy plants and India is part of its growth plans.
Company says the funding will support product development, international expansion and the scaling of its engineering and commercial teams.
Founded in 2024, the company uses computer vision and AI to analyse waste inside large storage bunkers before it enters a plant’s furnace. Its technology identifies potentially hazardous or oversized objects, maps waste characteristics and helps operators make better decisions about what material should be processed. The company says its system is trained on more than 50 million labelled images and currently analyses over five million tonnes of waste annually.
Jaipur Robotics is developing capabilities that could support smarter and increasingly automated crane operations, using real-time data to map waste piles and guide how material is handled inside facilities.
The startup has already deployed its technology across more than 35 waste facilities in Europe and is now looking towards India, where it already maintains an engineering presence in Bengaluru. For Jaipur Robotics, the funding marks a shift from solving one operational problem to building a broader intelligence layer
