Chemical PET recycling is the field Revalyu Recycling (India) Limited leads, formerly Polygenta Technologies Ltd. and a subsidiary of Germany-based revalyu Resources GmbH (acquired by Heraeus Group in May 2022). Founded in 1981 and using a patented low-temperature glycolysis process, it recycles more than 20 million post-consumer PET bottles daily into high-quality rPET chips, filament yarn, and sustainable PET polymers (esters), products equivalent to virgin-grade PET used in textiles, packaging, films, and automotive accessories, serving more than 60 customers in 15 countries, including high-end sports and fashion brands. Its process uses 75% less water and 91% less energy than conventional PET production, saving 22,000 kg of CO2 daily.
