Green Mining, set up in 2018, is a Brazilian startup specializing in intelligent reverse logistics to recover post-consumer packaging and reintegrate it into the production cycle. Its technology uses blockchain for traceability, ensuring 100% labor compliance and proper recycling of materials like glass, plastic, paper, and metal. Green Mining has collected over 11 million kilograms of recyclables, such as 1 million kilograms of glass, through its Recycle and Earn Stations and partnerships with companies like AB InBev, Unilever, and Natura. The company employs former waste pickers with formal contracts, using non-motorized tricycles to reduce CO2 emissions. Green Mining’s offerings, such as waste management consulting and 100% recycled PET cups, support Brazil’s National Policy of Solid Waste and align with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
