Dalmia Polypro Industries Private Limited, set up in 2006, is a Mumbai-based, sustainability-focused plastic recycling company and one of India’s largest recyclers of PET and polyolefin materials by volume. The company produces high-quality recycled PET (rPET) flakes, granules, and polyolefin granules (rPP, rHDPE) from post-consumer plastic waste, serving industries like fashion, consumer packaging, material handling, and industrial packaging. Its zero-landfill process recycles all parts of PET bottles, such as labels and caps, diverting over 120,000 metric tonnes of plastic waste from landfills, equivalent to the weight of 2,600 humpback whales. Dalmia Polypro supports Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance under India’s Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, and has developed TraceWaste, a blockchain-based waste tracking system. With a valuation of ₹1,040 crore and $10.8 million in funding from investors like Circulate Capital and Elcid Investments, the company is expanding its capacity with a new Nashik facility in 2024, aiming to quadruple recycling capacity to 100,000 MT annually. Dalmia Polypro collaborates with 70 aggregators and partners like Bisleri and Unilever to promote a circular plastic economy.
