Dalmia Polypro Industries Private Limited has been operating from Mumbai since 2006, with sustainability at the heart of its work and a position as one of India's largest PET and polyolefin recyclers by volume. The output - high-quality recycled PET flakes, granules, and polyolefin granules (rPP, rHDPE) made from post-consumer plastic waste - flows into fashion, consumer packaging, material handling, and industrial packaging customers. A zero-landfill process recycles every part of the PET bottle, including labels and caps, diverting more than 120,000 metric tonnes of plastic waste from landfills (the weight, by way of comparison, of 2,600 humpback whales). Extended Producer Responsibility compliance under India's Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016, is supported, and the company has developed TraceWaste, a blockchain-based waste tracking system. Valued at Rs 1,040 crore, with $10.8 million in funding from Circulate Capital, Elcid Investments, and others, the company is scaling capacity through a new Nashik facility in 2024 - the plan is to quadruple recycling capacity to 100,000 MT annually. Partnerships with 70 aggregators and brand customers including Bisleri and Unilever drive the circular plastic economy agenda.
