CN Innovations grew out of Chung Nam Company, founded in 1935, with the present-day business taking shape from the metal department that emerged in the 1980s. The company today works at the intersection of materials science and precision engineering, supplying automation-oriented solutions to electronics, automotive, watchmaking, and pharmaceutical clients. Its capabilities span conventional metal processing and precision stamping, metal injection molding, touch panels, decorative and functional coatings, and - more recently - organ-on-chip laboratory instruments for drug discovery. R&D is split across China, the USA, the UK, and Switzerland, with collaborations at the University of Oxford and The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. Underpinning all of it is a first-principles approach focused on eliminating waste and squeezing more out of every process.
