Founded in 2020 by Saurya Mishra and headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Articulus Surgical is developing the Articulus Pulsar Surgical Robotics System, a hybrid surgical robot for minimally invasive surgery (MAS). Aiming to be 5x more affordable and portable than competitors, it targets 170 million patients worldwide, serving hospitals in the automotive, medical, and healthcare sectors. The patent-pending system, designed to work with existing hospital infrastructure, is still under development and awaiting animal and human trials. Backed by IIMA Ventures, BIRAC, and Startup India, the company has raised undisclosed funding and employs 11-50 staff. It won awards at the IIMA Healthcare Summit 2023.
