Nanorobotics for healthcare, the TheraBlaze system and magnetic nanobots that target dental hypersensitivity and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, are the focus of Theranautilus Private Limited, a deep-tech startup offering a 10-minute treatment to address a $6B global market. Founded in 2020 and incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, it serves dental clinics and consumers and plans human trials in 2025, and with $1.2M in seed funding from pi Ventures and partnerships with Eurofins Advinus it aims to expand into cancer therapy. It holds five patents and has received a National Technology Start-up Award from the Government of India.
