Vertiv Buys Into AI Data Center Cooling in EMEA with KES Acquisition

Vertiv has agreed to acquire Ireland-based King Environmental Services (KES), a specialist in fluid management, commissioning and load testing for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers. The deal will extend Vertiv’s existing fluid-management capabilities into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)..

KES brings capabilities that sit well beyond the cooling equipment itself. Its work includes pipework flushing, filtration, water treatment, testing and balancing, commissioning, data logging, thermography and thermal and electrical load testing. The company operates from Ireland and Germany and serves customers across EMEA.

Vertiv has been building this capability through acquisitions and its own services portfolio. Its 2025 acquisition of PurgeRite gave the company a stronger fluid-management presence in North America. Earlier this year, Vertiv also completed its acquisition of ThermoKey, expanding its heat-rejection and heat-exchange capabilities in EMEA. The KES deal adds the field execution layer.
