Samtel Group

A diversified conglomerate with nearly five decades of indigenous manufacturing experience, spanning defense and avionics (multi-function displays, head-up displays, rugged military systems), engineering services, and automated test equipment (ATE), is what Samtel Group has become. Founded in 1973 by Mr. Satish Kumar Kaura and headquartered in New Delhi, it began as India's largest integrated manufacturer of cathode ray tubes (CRTs) for televisions before transitioning to high-technology avionics and defense electronics through its subsidiary, Samtel Avionics Ltd. (SA), established in 2005. A key player, Samtel Avionics designs, develops, manufactures, and maintains avionics systems, cockpit displays, opto-electronics, and electronic-warfare systems for fixed- and rotary-wing platforms, with notable contributions to HAL's Su-30 MKI and Mirage 2000 upgrades.
