Underwater robotic inspection, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) such as Beluga, Orca, and Mikros, and the Svaayatt AUV, performing visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and sonar surveys, is the specialty of Planys Technologies, an Indian deep-tech startup. Founded in 2015 by IIT Madras alumni, it serves ports, dams, bridges, and oil-and-gas assets, with its AI-enabled Planys Analytics Dashboard (PAD) providing data-driven insight. With more than 170 global projects across eight sectors, Planys operates in India, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia.
