A world-class Common Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (CHWTSDF) is operated by Mumbai Waste Management Limited (MWML), a leading Indian waste-management company under Re Sustainability Limited (formerly part of the Ramky Group). Located in Taloja, Raigad, Maharashtra, and awarded by MIDC through global tendering, the 100-acre facility manages hazardous and bio-medical waste through incineration (30,000 MT/year), secure landfill (120,000 MT/year), and stabilization/treatment (60,000 MT/year). Founded in 2001, MWML collects, transports, and disposes of bio-medical waste from 1,900 generators in Navi Mumbai, Panvel, and Rasayani using 10 GPS-equipped vehicles with automated weighing and barcoding. Certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, it complies with Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) standards, and its hi-tech laboratory, incineration plant with primary and secondary combustion chambers, and double-composite-liner landfill support a circular economy and environmental sustainability, work recognized by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and MPCB.
