Glacier Robotics

Founded in 2019, Glacier operates from San Francisco as a startup specialising in AI-powered robotic systems for automated waste sorting in recycling facilities. From its California base, the company develops robots that use computer vision to identify and separate more than 30 material types - including plastics, metals, and complex packaging - at up to 45 picks per minute with high accuracy. Compact, affordable robots slot into existing facilities without major modifications, with a projected ROI within one year. The waste management industry is the principal market, with Glacier collaborating with major brands such as Amazon, Colgate-Palmolive, and AB InBev through programmes including the 100+ Accelerator and Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund.
