Advantech Puts Industrial Cybersecurity In RSB-3810

Edge computing is moving deeper into factories, robots and industrial machines, but putting more intelligence at the edge also expands the cybersecurity surface. Advantech is addressing both requirements with its RSB-3810 single-board computer (SBC),

The RSB-3810 has received IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification, giving system builders a security-certified foundation for industrial and edge AI applications. Advantech says the certification also supports readiness for the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), whose reporting requirements have now begun.

Under the hood, the 2.5-inch Pico-ITX board uses MediaTek’s Genio 1200 platform with four Arm Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4 memory and supports Ubuntu and Android, giving developers flexibility across industrial AI and embedded applications.

The RSB-3810 is also built for vision-heavy edge workloads. It supports MIPI-CSI and USB 3.0 camera interfaces, 4K video and multi-display configurations. Connectivity can be expanded through an M.2 Key B slot for 5G and an M.2 Key E slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

For OEMs and system integrators, the RSB-3810 therefore tries to bring three requirements into one compact platform.
