Bengaluru-based Sarvam AI is negotiating a $200-250 million funding round led by NVIDIA, Accel and HCLTech at a $1.5 billion valuation, according to reports. The deal would mark the largest private funding for an Indian startup this year and the biggest capital infusion into a pure-play Indian AI company.
The company focuses on full-stack generative AI systems spanning foundational model research to enterprise deployment tools.
Sarvam emerged as a key player in India’s sovereign AI push alongside initiatives like BharatGen. The startup secured significant Nvidia H100 GPU allocation through Yotta Data Services under the IndiaAI Mission, providing compute infrastructure advantages.
