L&T Technology Services (LTTS) is stepping deeper into India’s startup ecosystem with the launch of LTTS FARM, a platform aimed at helping deep-tech companies move beyond promising prototypes and into real-world commercial deployment.
The initiative targets startups with technologies at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 and above meaning their concepts have already demonstrated technical feasibility and are ready to be tested against industry requirements. Rather than operating as a conventional incubator focused primarily on funding, LTTS FARM is designed around engineering support, customer access, product validation and commercial opportunities.
Selected startups will be able to work with LTTS engineers, access its technology ecosystem and engage with potential enterprise customers. The journey is expected to include technical evaluation, co-development, pilots, proof-of-concepts and customer demonstrations, with suitable solutions potentially moving towards larger industry deployments.
The programme is focused on areas where LTTS already has a strong engineering presence, including software-defined mobility, industrial automation, digital manufacturing, next-generation computing and data centres, energy, plant modernisation and MedTech.
Early reports indicate that the programme is already working with deep-tech startups across areas such as robotics, healthtech and AI, helping them bridge one of the biggest challenges in the sector: gaining access to real customers while products are still evolving.
For LTTS, the platform also creates a way to bring emerging technologies into its wider engineering ecosystem. For startups, however, the bigger opportunity may be access to enterprise-scale engineering expertise and global markets, two resources that can often be harder to secure than early-stage funding.
