PFC Appoints V. Packirisamy as Director (Commercial)

The Government of India named V. Packirisamy Director (Commercial) at Power Finance Corporation, effective June 2, 2026. He steps up from Executive Director for Entity Appraisal and IT, capping nearly three decades at PFC, which he joined in 1997.

An IIT Delhi alumnus with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech in Management and Systems, he has shaped PFC’s appraisal frameworks, risk assessment and loan growth.

He contributed to the Integrated Rating Framework for Power Distribution Companies, later adopted by the Ministry of Power, and served on the PMO’s Shunglu Committee. He is also a nominee director on Telangana North Discom’s board and President of the Power Foundation of India.
