BC Jindal Group Names Sanjay Bhargava CEO of Power Business

BC Jindal Group has appointed Sanjay Bhargava as CEO of Jindal India Power Limited. He’ll run the group’s 1,200 MW thermal facility in Odisha—two 600 MW units commissioned in 2015.
Bhargava spent over 35 years in the power sector, most recently at Tata Power. His experience spans plant operations, maintenance, power sales, regulatory work across diesel, CNG, electric, and hydrogen platforms.
Jindal India Power holds multiple Power Purchase Agreements with state DISCOMs across Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, and Noida. The facility has maintained an increasing Plant Load Factor since launch.
BC Jindal Group, founded in 1952, operates across packaging films, energy, and steel products with annual revenues exceeding ₹18,000 crores. The group employs over 10,000 people across India, Europe, and the US.
