A humanoid robot has completed a structured logistics trial at a working Siemens electronics facility and met every target set for it.
The HMND 01 wheeled Alpha robot from Humanoid achieved 60 tote moves per hour, sustained over eight hours of uptime, and delivered a 90%-plus success rate on autonomous pick-and-place tasks at Siemens’ Erlangen factory. The machine integrates with production systems and coordinates with other equipment and human workers during the trial.
The trial ran in two phases: first an in-house development phase using a physical digital twin, then two weeks on-site at the Siemens facility. The simulation-first development methodology compresses the prototype timeline from an industry-typical 18-24 months down to seven months.
