WITT Unveils Smart Flashback Arrestor with Real-Time Monitoring

WITT announced the launch of 85-30 SMART—the first flashback arrestor with built-in sensors and electronics that detect and communicate safety events in real-time. The device converts a passive safety component into an active sensor for gas networks.

Users get instant alerts on flashbacks and sustained burns, enabling tighter control over operations, maintenance, and safety protocols. The SMART variant retains the proven 85-30 base with its stainless steel flame arrestor, temperature cut-off valve, gas check valve, and integrated filter, while adding signal transmission for digitally networked factories.

The device works with acetylene, hydrogen, natural gas, LPG, and oxygen, making it suitable for industries from welding and cutting to aerospace manufacturing.
