Kawasaki Robotics’ US arm announced the launch last week and is getting ready to showcase the new entrant.
The CP110L is built for plants that are short on space. It needs 2,242 mm of ceiling height and has a revolute-axis interference radius of 453 mm, but can still reach 2,505 mm. It carries up to 110 kg and, under specified operating conditions, can handle up to 2,200 cases an hour.
The robot has four controlled axes, repeats positions to within ±0.05 mm and weighs 820 kg. Cables and hoses run inside a hollow wrist, which Kawasaki says reduces interference and makes installation and maintenance easier.
Power regeneration comes as standard. It turns the energy from slowing down into electricity the system can use again, which matters most where the arm moves up and down a lot.
The new model joins Kawasaki’s CP Series, which covers payloads from 110 kg to 700 kg, so the CP110L sits at the lightest end of the range. Kawasaki is aiming it at packaging, consumer packaged goods and end-of-line automation. The release points to demand in that segment. It cites PMMI’s 2026 report, in which just over six in ten surveyed end users (61%) said they expect to spend more on robotics over the next 12 months.
