Larsen & Toubro launched L&T Electronic Products & Systems (LTEPS), a business vertical targeting industrial electronics manufacturing. It is headquartered in Bengaluru and production will happen at its Coimbatore campus.
It currently has two manufacturing lines operational which will serve both domestic and international clients.
Its products include power electronics (inverters, drives, converters), electric vehicle electronics, industrial robotics, automation systems, communication platforms, full-stack electronics design and manufacturing.
Its facility spread over a 40-acre zone at Coimbatore includes complete value chain -R&D, contract manufacturing, design support, sourcing, testing.
L&T -Lakshya 2031 roadmap targets to double revenues, expand its technology leadership and scale high-margin manufacturing, the move with LTEPS advances all three.
Currently L&T’s Strategic Electronics Centre has been building defense-grade communications and avionics, with this move it scales its entry into commercial markets.
Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan called this move a step in advancing Indian self-reliance in critical manufacturing.
