IMI plc has appointed Harry Deng as Managing Director for its Industrial Automation business in the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening its leadership in one of its fastest-growing markets.
Deng will oversee operations across key APAC markets including India, China, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and Australia. His role will focus on driving strategic growth, enhancing customer partnerships, and improving operational and supply chain performance.
With over three decades of industry experience, Deng brings strong engineering and commercial leadership, having held senior roles across global industrial organisations. His appointment reflects IMI’s intent to deepen its presence in critical segments such as factory automation, fluid control, rail, and energy.
The Asia-Pacific region is central to IMI’s growth strategy, given its rapid industrialisation and increasing adoption of automation technologies. Deng’s mandate includes accelerating organic growth while aligning regional operations with global strategic priorities.
