Belden’s integration of RUCKUS Networks is moving from the boardroom to the factory floor. The company will manufacture select RUCKUS ICX Ethernet switches at its Pune facility in India, marking one of the first tangible steps since Belden completed its $1.85 billion acquisition of RUCKUS in July 2026.
Belden is using its existing manufacturing footprint to absorb part of the RUCKUS portfolio ,that gives RUCKUS access to local production while allowing Belden to use infrastructure, supply-chain capabilities and engineering resources it already has in India.
Belden expanded its Pune manufacturing operation with a new 19,000-square-metre facility, backed by a $40 million investment. The site was designed for advanced manufacturing, automation and production of networking products including specialized Ethernet switches and industrial connectivity equipment.
India already has a substantial RUCKUS footprint. Its Bengaluru operation is the company’s largest global site for R&D and customer success, while it also has a research and design centre in Chennai. Belden adds its Pune manufacturing base and Bengaluru Customer Innovation Center to that network
The company is trying to build a broader networking portfolio spanning industrial connectivity, enterprise switching, Wi-Fi and cloud-based network management. Belden has specifically positioned the combination around IT/OT convergence, where factories increasingly need wireless and wired networks to work together.
