Orbbec Expands 3D Vision and Edge AI Solutions for Industrial Automation

What happened: 

Orbbec has expanded its portfolio of industrial 3D vision cameras and edge AI solutions to support factory automation, robotics, and warehouse applications.

Why it matters:

 The company introduced LingBot-Depth, an edge AI depth-processing solution developed with Robbyant (Ant Group). It improves the detection of transparent, reflective, and low-texture objects—areas where conventional 3D vision systems often struggle.

Industry context: 

Orbbec also highlighted new 3D vision cameras for precision inspection, robotic guidance, and autonomous forklifts. The solutions run on NVIDIA Jetson Orin platforms for real-time AI processing. The company says it now serves more than 1,600 robotics customers and is expanding its manufacturing capacity with a new facility in Vietnam.
