Basler has released a 10GigE vision system built around compact ace 2 cameras that support RDMA and PoE. It Comes with 10GigE network interface cards (RNICs), pylon software with GigE Vision 3.0 support, and compatible accessories.
The system carries the full 10 Gbps data rate from camera to host PC. RDMA streaming reduces CPU load and keeps latency between image capture and processing very low. The cameras measure 29 mm × 29 mm × 61.5 mm, consume under 7 W, and use Sony Pregius S sensors in the visible and UV spectrum, with up to 24.4 MP resolution and 232 fps.
The RNICs come in two versions. The RJ45 card supports PoE, delivering data and power over one cable. A lower-cost SFP+ card, used with an SFP+ to RJ45 transceiver module, targets professional low-latency networks. Fixed focal length and telecentric lenses, lighting options, and cables complete the lineup.
Basler targets multi-camera setups in quality inspection, robot control, logistics, wafer inspection, and semiconductor manufacturing. These applications need high bandwidth, low CPU load, and long-term scalability. The compact camera size supports space-saving system layouts.
