Cognex launches OneVision for enterprise-scale AI vision deployment

What happened: Cognex announced general availability of OneVision . The cloud-to-edge AI vision platform completed beta testing with customers. Customers moved from single-line applications to multi-site rollouts testing the solution at real industry context.

Why it matters: OneVision centralizes AI model training, management and governance in the cloud while running inspections at the edge. The platform reduces scaling costs by up to 50 percent. Runtime inspection remains fully edge-based with no cloud connectivity required after deployment.

Industry context: OneVision claims to solve the gap between AI pilot projects and enterprise-wide deployment. It works with Cognex’s In-Sight 3900 and 6900 vision systems. Industries including automotive, electronics, food and beverage, and healthcare report faster development and improved throughput.
