Marine Electricals (India) has secured orders worth ₹115 crore from L&T for electrical infrastructure at Tata Semicon’s upcoming fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat. The 18-month contract covers supply, installation, and commissioning of low-tension distribution boards and branch panels.
The work supports Tata Electronics’ $11 billion semiconductor project being developed in partnership with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation. The facility will produce up to 50,000 wafers monthly using technologies ranging from 28 nanometers to 110 nanometers.
Marine Electricals will deliver power distribution systems essential for operations. Its scope includes testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure to support cleanroom environments and precision manufacturing equipment.
The Dholera site represents India’s first full-scale semiconductor fab, distinct from assembly and testing facilities. Construction is underway, with the project expected to generate over 20,000 direct and indirect skilled jobs once operational.
