As AI technologies bring the intelligence closer to the factory floor, the need for miniaturized computing solutions to process AI workloads at the edge is growing. To meet the demand, MiTAC’s E420 embedded system has been developed and is suitable for industrial automation, medical applications, retail and edge computing, etc.
Based on Intel’s latest processor platform, the E420 is designed to support 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core processors. This helps in providing system developers with the flexibility to create high-performance solutions. It also provides a choice of Hailo-8 AI accelerator that allows for faster AI inference for functions like machine vision, intelligent inspection, and real-time analytics.
In addition to processing power, the system has been designed with industrial deployment in mind. It can hold up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, allows for dual displays, multiple expansion slots and various connectivity options making it suitable for applications that demand computing power and integration flexibility.
