What happened: Moxa has secured dual IEC 62443-4-1 Maturity Level 3 certifications. The recognition comes from both the IECEE Certification Body Scheme and the ISA Security Compliance Institute. The certifications validate the company’s Secure Development Life Cycle across its product portfolio.

Why it matters: Maturity Level 3 indicates a standardized, secure development process applied company-wide and is periodically reviewed. It covers threat modeling, risk traceability, a formal Product Security Incident Response Team, vulnerability and patch management, and supply-chain security. 

Industry context: The certifications comply with emerging rules such as the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act, which raises expectations for cybersecurity governance over a product’s full life cycle. Moxa’s work on the IEC 62443 framework began in 2016
