What happened: Calligo Technologies has formed a strategic collaboration with Japan’s OGIS-RI to advance Vision-AI deployments. The partnership brings Calligo’s CIS2 edge-AI vision systems together with OGIS-RI’s MessagePub+ framework. The result is a OneM2M-compliant platform aimed at quality control, defect detection, and real-time process monitoring.
Why it matters: MessagePub+ is a lightweight messaging subset built for resource-constrained environments, while OneM2M is the international standard for machine-to-machine data transfer , Indian DOT is standardizing OneM2M for the domestic ecosystem.
OGIS-RI also plans to promote Calligo’s TUNGA2.0, a RISC-V-based system-on-chip for AI workloads.
Industry context: The companies are targeting two digitization markets. Indin machine vision market was valued at USD 592.2 million in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 1,023.2 million by 2033. Japan’s industrial IoT market hit USD 7.56 billion in 2025, with a forecast of USD 16.60 billion by 2034. Calligo plans to scale CIS2 across automotive, electronics, machinery, and energy sectors.
