Biomass carbon removal and storage (BiCRS), patented geologic slurry injection technology that sequesters carbon-rich organic waste deep underground, is the field Vaulted Deep pioneers, converting waste such as biosolids, manure, and food waste into permanent carbon storage, preventing methane emissions and reducing landfill use. Founded in 2023, its systems are deployed in municipal waste management, agriculture, and industry, with operational facilities in Kansas and Los Angeles, and it has removed nearly 18,000 tonnes of CO2 and diverted more than 69,000 tonnes of waste, serving clients such as Microsoft, Stripe, and Shopify. Rooted in decades-proven oil-and-gas waste management, its technology supports environmental justice and local economies, creating jobs and reducing pollutants.
