EFI Automotive traces its history back to 1936, when Johanny Thollin set up the family business in Beynost, France. Today it operates as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive supplier focused on intelligent localised systems for powertrain and vehicle dynamics. Over 85 years of engineering have produced a product line covering engine control sensors (speed, position, temperature), actuators, mechatronic modules, ignition systems (the Bougicord cables), and vehicle height sensors. The customer base reaches across global automotive OEMs and suppliers, with extension into robotics through Akeoplus and aftermarket services. Manufacturing happens at facilities in France, the USA, China, Turkey, and Brazil.
