Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Coimbra, Portugal, Active Space Automation specialises in automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for intralogistics. Its AGVs feature innovative indoor positioning through Visible Light Communication (VLC), support bidirectional and lateral movement, and include disinfection towers for hospitals and logistics spaces. Serving the manufacturing and healthcare sectors and backed by Grupo BEL, the company moved its automation operations to Faptech in 2024 with a focus on cost-effective, flexible solutions. It holds ISO 9001 certification and operates mainly in Europe.
