The use of artificial intelligence is no longer restricted to software but is making its way into the real world and AGIBOT is taking a bet that this next phase of innovation will come from robots that are designed to be deployed in the real world and not just the lab. The robotics firm showcased four new products at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026 in Shanghai, spanning the humanoid robots, industrial automation and dexterous robotic manipulation sectors.
The new offerings are the A3 Ultra humanoid robot, the G2 Max industrial robot, the X2 Edu and the OmniHand 3 Ultra-M, a robotic hand for complex manipulation. The launches are part of a new trend in the robotics industry, which is now increasingly focused on demonstrating that robots can function effectively in a typical environment.
At the event, over 30 AGIBOT robots were used throughout the exhibition space to help navigate the event, provide information and demonstrate live, thus providing a preview of how embodied AI is starting to move out of the controlled test environment. The company’s new humanoid platform, the A3 Ultra, has been designed for use in commercial and public spaces, featuring enhanced perception systems, autonomous navigation, and long operating durations to enable autonomous service tasks.
Industry context
By combining the ability of artificial intelligence, sensing technologies and computing hardware, the embodied AI market is picking up momentum with more and more robots becoming able to interact with the real world. Instead of just trying to replicate human motion, manufacturers are now looking for ways to use the technology to improve manufacturing, logistics, customer service and industrial operations.
This more general industry trend is also manifest in AGIBOT’s newest announcements. While the impressive demonstrations of embodied AI will be impressive, the real test of success will be crafting robots that can execute tasks reliably and efficiently at scale and address operational challenges in the real world across a diverse range of industrial sectors.
