Kassow Robots Simplifies Cobot Integration with Bosch Rexroth

Kassow Robots has rolled out a connector app that brings its seven-axis collaborative robots into direct conversation with Bosch Rexroth’s ctrlX operating system. The Copenhagen-based manufacturer, now part of the Bosch Rexroth family, designed the solution to cut through integration headaches that typically slow down automation projects.

Previously, linking these cobots to ctrlX devices meant writing PLC code and accepting limited real-time capabilities. The new app eliminates that barrier by channeling robot data through the ctrlX Data Layer in real time. Operators can now monitor systems, send motion commands, acknowledge alarms, and run jog mode directly from a single control interface.

The platform opens up possibilities for combining Kassow’s robots with vision systems, grippers, and other hardware from different vendors. Applications like palletizing, bin picking, and mobile robotics benefit from having navigation, safety, and motion control managed through one device rather than juggling multiple systems.
