Vertiv has introduced the PowerUPS 6000 Industrial, an uninterruptible power supply engineered specifically for commercial and industrial sites where electrical instability, high temperatures, and airborne contaminants threaten equipment reliability. The system targets manufacturing plants, transportation infrastructure, oil and gas facilities, pharmaceutical production, food processing, packaging lines, and steel operations.
The UPS carries an IP42 Ingress Protection rating, withstanding dust, humidity, and ambient temperatures up to 50°C. This ruggedization addresses environments where traditional UPS systems struggle—factory floors, refineries, and production lines experiencing power fluctuations alongside harsh physical conditions.
Protected equipment includes PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial networking hardware, and production-line automation. Brief power interruptions in these applications trigger scrap generation, safety procedures, or lengthy restart sequences, making continuous power protection essential for operational continuity.
