NASSCOM launches AI learning program to train 150,000 developers.

NASSCOM has rolled out an AI-Assisted Developer Workshop targeting early-career professionals and students looking to integrate AI coding tools into their workflows. The initiative provides hands-on training in AI-assisted development through half-day sessions delivered both in-person and virtually.

AI now spans the entire software development lifecycle, from initial coding to debugging and code review. Developers who treat AI tools as optional assistants risk falling behind those who’ve learned to use them as integrated teammates across the development process.

Workshop combines live coding exercises with expert perspectives on AI-augmented workflows. The curriculum focuses on practical application—participants work directly with code completion tools and real development scenarios.

The initiative represents NASSCOM’s first move in a broader AI developer training roadmap. An advanced two-month program covering deeper AI-native engineering skills is planned for mid-2026, with the current workshop serving as a recommended prerequisite.
