ZEISS India has appointed Sharath Sirivolu as Head of its Center for Applied Research in India ( CARIn), reinforcing its focus on building a strong, India-led innovation ecosystem.
Sirivolu will lead the transformation of CARIn into a world-class R&D hub, supporting ZEISS’s medical technology segment across devices, platforms, and digital applications. He will also play a key role in shaping the company’s digital health ecosystem developed out of India.
With over 25 years of experience across organisations such as GE Healthcare and Schneider Electric, Sirivolu brings deep expertise in global R&D leadership, innovation programs, and large-scale technology initiatives.
His role goes beyond technical leadership—he will be part of the India leadership team and contribute to driving culture, transformation, and long-term innovation strategy. The appointment also aligns with ZEISS India’s ambition to enhance its contribution to global product development through localized R&D capabilities.
