Texmaco Rail and RVNL JV to accelerate delivery of rail assets and systems.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited signed a joint venture to expedite rail manufacturing capacity and have a better footing in international infrastructure projects. Texmaco holds 49 percent of the venture while RVNL retains majority ownership in the public-private partnership.

The joint venture focuses on three business segments: advanced rolling stock including freight wagons, locomotives, passenger coaches, and metro systems; lifecycle maintenance and asset management services; and large-scale engineering, procurement and construction projects for domestic and international markets.

Texmaco brings manufacturing expertise and export capabilities developed through existing joint ventures with global players including Wabtec and Touax. The company operates across freight cars, rail infrastructure, green energy, and infrastructure-electrical segments, supplying Indian Railways, private operators, and export markets.

RVNL contributes execution experience in complex rail infrastructure projects as a Navratna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. The organization has implemented railway and metro expansion projects domestically and internationally.

JV is likely  to support national priorities on modernisation and capacity building for railways by  enhancing local production to reduce reliance on imports.

Along with meeting domestic modernisation plans, it would also target markets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East for integrated rail manufacturing and infrastructure contracts.
