Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has appointed Nitin Selot as its new Executive Director for Finance, IT and Legal Affairs, effective February 19, 2026. In this role, he will also function as the Chief Financial Officer, taking charge of financial strategy and IT transformation for the group’s Indian operations.
Selot brings 35 years of senior leadership experience spanning multiple industries. Before joining SAVWIPL, he held executive positions at JCB India, Compass Group India, Shell, and Mars Wrigley. His academic credentials include an ACMA from the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India, an MBA in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad, and an ACS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
SAVWIPL manages India operations for six brands — Škoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche — across two manufacturing facilities in Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Selot’s appointment is expected to sharpen financial governance, support IT transformation, and strengthen the company’s local-for-local manufacturing approach.
Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of SAVWIPL, noted that the appointment comes as the company continues to refine its operational processes and advance its India strategy. Holger Peters, Board Member for Finance, IT and Legal Affairs at Škoda Auto a.s., pointed out that India is currently the most important market for Škoda Auto outside Europe — making this appointment a strategically significant one.
For an organisation managing a premium multi-brand portfolio in one of the world’s fastest-growing auto markets, having a seasoned finance and technology leader at the helm couldn’t be more timely.
