RIR Power Electronics has appointed N Ramesh Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 11, 2026. The appointment brings over four decades of strategic leadership experience to the BSE-listed power semiconductor solutions provider.
Kumar arrives with 42 years of expertise spanning sales, marketing, business development, and P&L management across multiple geographies. He most recently served as CEO at Diffusion Engineers Limited and previously held the position of Global Business Head for Industrial Products and Solutions at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited.
The leadership transition includes organizational restructuring for operational efficiency. Ramesh G. Trasi, who served as CEO for over 22 years, transitions to Chief Technology Officer to continue driving RIR’s technology and innovation roadmap. Bhavna H. Mehta steps down as Managing Director but remains on the board as Director.
Kumar’s tenure spans four years through February 10, 2030, subject to shareholder approval. The appointment supports RIR’s strategy to accelerate innovation, strengthen market presence, and expand its product portfolio in high-power semiconductor devices and energy management systems.
