OptiValue Tek Enters Defence With Indigenous Counter-Drone System

OptiValue Tek, a digital engineering and AI consulting firm, has launched the Integrated Counter-UAV Defence System (ICUDS), marking its formal entry into India’s defence technology sector. The platform addresses a critical vulnerability in modern electronic warfare: autonomous, GPS-denied drones that evade traditional radio frequency-based countermeasures.

ICUDS employs a multi-sensor fusion architecture combining RF intelligence, acoustic detection, electro-optical surveillance, and AI-powered targeting to identify and intercept so-called “dark drones” that operate without conventional radio transmissions. The system uses Bayesian fusion algorithms to integrate data from multiple sources and build a comprehensive threat picture.

Once a threat is confirmed, ICUDS deploys a layered response strategy. Soft-kill capabilities include protocol-level deception, GPS spoofing, and broadband jamming. Hard-kill responses incorporate precision anti-drone interceptors designed to neutralize high-speed aerial threats that soft-kill methods cannot stop.

The system operates on edge AI architecture, ensuring all detection, analysis, and engagement processes run locally without cloud dependency—a critical requirement for defence applications where network connectivity cannot be guaranteed.
