MESH Raises $3.8 Million to Scale Robotic Rebar Construction

Swiss robotics firm MESH has raised $3.8 million in an oversubscribed seed round to scale its automated rebar construction technology.

The ETH Zurich spin-off has developed robotics and software systems that automate rebar handling, placement, and welding directly from 3D design models, eliminating the need for manual programming.

The platform has already processed over 1 million rebar elements, including deployments in large infrastructure projects such as Switzerland’s Gotthard tunnel. It enables fabrication of both standardized and complex free-form reinforcement structures with high precision.

The funding will support global expansion and partnership-led deployment models aimed at reducing upfront capital investment for construction firms and manufacturers.
