Karnataka’s Mandya district will host a new Automotive Research Association of India facility focused on EV and advanced automotive testing. Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy announced the project with ₹500 crore allocated for phase one.
The facility requires 100 acres and will provide testing, certification, and research capabilities. Additional funding may follow based on project expansion needs. The central government will send an inspection team once land allocation formalities are complete.
